Lovely Home of Peep and Livija Rebane
Our nation and world are engaging strategies to contain and mitigate the transmission and effects of the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) (COVID-19).
An important mitigation strategy at this time is one called “social distancing.”
Though our group is small, we believe in supporting the CDC and Department of Health recommendations that we all individually and collectively avoid large gatherings. For some that means >1,000. For us, that means our number no matter how small.
We extend our deep appreciation to Peep and Livija. They have let us know they will be happy to host us again at a future date when our public health concerns have subsided.

PLEASE JOIN US AS WE WELCOME JÕULUVANA AND HIS PÄKAPIKK AT OUR ANNUAL CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION, WITH A TRADITIONAL HOLIDAY DINNER, 2:00 PM, SUNDAY, DECEMBER 11, 2016
Jõuluvana (Santa) or verivorst (Christmas sausage)? What are our members’ priorities? This year, both Jõuluvana (Santa) and verivorst (Christmas sausage) return to the Estonian Society of Central Florida/Kesk Florida Eesti Selts for our annual Christmas celebration.
The Estonian Society of Central Florida (Kesk Florida Eesti Selts) invites you to join us in our Christmas celebration at 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 11, 2016, in the Fellowship Hall at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 10891 102nd Avenue North, Seminole, FL 33778.
Many of the women of the Estonian Society of Central Florida (Kesk Florida Eesti Selts) are preparing verivorst to accompany a traditional Christmas meal prepared by local scrumptious caterers. Have you been good this year? Jõuluvana (Santa) knows who’s been naughty and nice! We are expecting Jõuluvana and his very musically talented Päkapikk (Elf) to lead us in merriment. Come prepared with your songs, poems and other entertainment to earn your gift.
By noon, Thursday, December 1, 2016, we have to let the caterer know the number of lunches to prepare and Jõuluvana the number of gifts to bring. So, PLEASE, send in your checks for your reservations to Treasurer Anneliis Kuusik (contact info below) by December 1, 2016. Your reservation will be binding and we regret we will be unable to give refunds because of commitments to the caterer. The cost of the lunch is $30.00 per person; $10 for children under the age of 12.
To make your reservation before December 1, 2016:
Please send your check payable to “Estonian Society of Central Florida” and mail it to: Ms. Anneliis Kuusik, KFES Treasurer, 7069 Key Haven Rd., #505, Seminole, FL 33777. The cost of the lunch is $30.00 per person; $10 for children under the age of 12. And by the way, if you have not yet paid your KFES membership dues for 2016-17, please add $20 per person to your total.
If you are bringing children, please also let Anneliis Kuusik know their names and ages by December 1, 2016.
Please remember: Prepayment is required for this event. Without it, we may need to turn you away at the door because of catering and space limitations.
See you at the party!
